The top combat sports promotion in the Midwest, Shamrock Fighting Championships, returns to Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in St. Charles, MO, on Friday May 10th for their 354 live event. The event is scheduled to include MMA, Kickboxing and professional grappling. Expect to see plenty of familiar faces in the crowd, as UFC is in town for a show the following night. There is a lot of buzz around this event, as fans look forward to what is sure to be an unforgettable weekend!
All eyes will be on the main event, as undefeated welterweight prospect Max Choriev faces perhaps the toughest challenge of his career. He is set to take on UFC veteran Darian Weeks. Weeks last fought for UFC in 2022 and comes into this fight on a 2-fight winning streak. This is without a doubt a make-or-break fight for both competitors. Fight fans will also be excited to see the return of current featherweight champion, Dustin “Scrappy” Lampros. His opponent is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Also on the main card is an exciting matchup between Bellator veteran Scott Ettling and “The God of War” Trevon Crawford. Ettling comes into the fight 1-1 since returning to competition in 2023. Crawford meanwhile, has been on a tear in the world of professional kickboxing, victorious in his last 3 outings.
Joseph “The Sage” Murphy (1-1) is scheduled to face “The Hebrew Hammer” Gabe Stein in his professional debut at bantamweight. To give the fans even more variety, Travis Draper and Yohance Flager will compete in a professional grapping match.
The 155lb title is on the line as Kody McGehee (6-1) is set to defend the belt against the undefeated rising star, Ernest Bolt (4-0). Plus, top kickboxers Ian Houston and Nuriel Henry will meet to determine who is the #1 contender for the title. This fight promises to be electric from start to finish!
